David Nelson, (AP) - David Nelson, who played on the show his parents television popular “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet,” is dead, said a spokesman for the family. He was 74 years.

Nelson, who was struggling with complications of colon cancer, died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles, said the spokesman of the family and longtime Hollywood publicist Dale Olson.

Nelson was the last member of the family TV Nelson, which included actor / bandleader Ozzie, his wife, singer Harriet Hilliard and her brother teen idol Rick. The show originated on radio in 1952 as “Here Come the Nelson”, then ran for 320 episodes on television from 1952 to 1966 as “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” with some lines drawn from the history celebrities own life. David Nelson also produced and directed many episodes of the show throughout its run.
