Brandon Belt
A year ago, Brandon Belt, relatively unknown, fifth round pick in 2009 from the University of Texas, who had yet to make his pro debut. Now open the file days. Scouts always knew he was a solid athlete, but his performance never spectacular college. The Giants overhauled his swing pro ball last year and the results are impressive: a brand .352/.455/.620 with 43 doubles, 23 homers, 93 walks and accumulated 22 steals between high-A, Double-A and Triple-A .
