Star Jane Russell died Monday of respiratory failure, the Associated Press reported. She was the 89th film legend fame in the 40 years after starring in Howard Hughes ’1941 Western “The Outlaw”. She also played in 1953, the “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, next to Marilyn Monroe.
Russell was a star for Hughes split advertising sexy pictures of her before the publication of “The Outlaw”. She soon became known as a pin-up for World War II GA.
