Beecham u-turns on job offer
BANGKOK, 8 February 2011 – Pacific Asia Travel Association suffered a set back over the weekend when a Visit Britain high ranking executive, Keith Beecham, turned down an offer to head the association as its new CEO.
His decision to turn down the offer, after almost a month of communications on contract details, shocked PATA board members. They understood the association had found a suitable replacement for Greg Duffell who leaves at the end of the month.
Last Friday, 4 February, a PATA official said it was 99.9% sure that Mr Beecham was on board, but over the same weekend Mr Beecham dropped the bombshell and walked away from the job offer.
