Raffles Hotel (Chinese: ??? ??) is a colonial style hotel in Singapore in 1887 and after Singapore’s founder, Sir Stamford Raffles appointed. Managed by Raffles International, it is famous for its luxurious accommodation and excellent restaurants. The hotel houses a tropical garden, museum and theater in the Victorian style.
The hotel was created by four Armenian Sarkies brothers (Martin, Tigran and Arshak Sarkies Aviet). They opened 10-room colonial bungalow on Beach Road and Bras Basah Roadis one of of the Arab businessman and philanthropist Syed Muhammad Alsagoff a 1887th prosince Alsagoff at the location of the assets of her late father developed until it is the most modern building in Singapore at the time. Sarkies was a tenant in a favorable short-term lease.
