A restaurant northern Indiana erected signs referred to the massacre of 1978 Jonestown cult in which over 900 people lost their lives has removed the signs after complaints that the signs were offensive.
Jeff Leslie, vice president of sales and marketing at Hacienda, acknowledged that the billboards were a mistake. He said the company based in South Bend ordered the signs be removed within two weeks of the advertising campaign of the new Hacienda.
