What are your senator’s plans today? If you guessed celebrating the occasion of Ronald Reagan’s birth for two hours, you’d be correct. “The Senate will honor President Ronald Reagan on Thursday with a two-hour tribute to mark what would have been his 100th birthday on February 6,” The Hill reports. Today’s festivities have been in the works since the summer of 2009, when President Obama signed into law Ronald Reagan Centennial Commission Act, legislation that provided for—although not financially—the creation of a committee whose raison d’être is planning today’s Reagan revelry.
