At best this year of the Beat (Jan. 28 at Generations Hall), we have a tribute to the late Alex Chilton, who died in March last year. The iguanas ‘rhythm section – Rene Coman and Doug Garrison – played with Chilton and will be joined by Alex McMurray, Dave Pirner, Theresa Andersson, Susan Cowsills, Davis Rogan and the Lost Bayou Ramblers’ Louis Michot his music with the Box Tops remember Big Star, and on his own. Here is a function of Chilton 1985, when he appeared on MTV’s The Cutting Edge, hosted by skin tone ‘Peter Zaremba.
