“American Idol” all about talent, but this season premiere on Wednesday night was all about the new judge.
Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are generous, friendly and enthusiastic. And that’s fine, but it makes for a long show. Prime Minister not to Edge Simon Cowell and spirit.
Tyler was much better. It offers creative criticism, and shows a unique wackiness. Aerosmith star even sang and hit drums to set the table.
