Mustang Sally

Its fist two number one hit “Good Lovin’” and “Groovin” anchors the album. The first is up-tempo sixties rock / pop at its best and the second is a ballad feel good. When you add to such hits as “A Girl Like You,” “How can I be sure, and the album not only at the time,” One fine morning, “you achieve a memorable album.

“Come On Up” was one in the tradition of “Good lovin’” and although it cannot have appreciated his popularity, he was energetic and polished. “Mustang Sally”and” In The Midnight Hour “were issued on the cover songs from the album Young Rascals. They are excellent examples of why they were considered one of the leading practitioners white soul music. “Love is a beautiful thing” was originally published on the back of “You Better Run” single. It should have been the A side as it is polished and pop on a par with their best work.
